Bay Remodels completed this whole-home renovation in the San Francisco Bay Area, blending the character of an established multi-level residence with bold contemporary finishes and updated everyday functionality. The project includes a complete kitchen remodel, multiple bathrooms, living spaces, staircase and entry improvements, bedrooms, laundry, and exterior updates.
The kitchen is centered around deep teal Shaker-style cabinetry and a large end-grain wood island with seating. Dark countertops, a white subway tile backsplash, stainless steel appliances, an architectural wood-clad range hood, and oversized lantern pendants create a strong mix of traditional forms and modern contrast.
Throughout the home, original architectural elements such as the brick fireplace, bay windows, decorative trim, and white stair railings are paired with new wood flooring, updated lighting, skylights, and contemporary fixtures. The upper-level bedroom features a vaulted ceiling with exposed wood beams and direct access to an outdoor deck.
The bathroom renovations use distinctly different palettes while maintaining a consistent level of detail: glossy green tile with matte black fixtures, natural wood vanities, skylights, geometric flooring, frameless glass showers, terrazzo-inspired surfaces, built-in niches, and integrated storage.
